Wattpad's rules state that stories posted without authorial consent are not allowed, and neither are images that the poster does not own (public domain is fine). In my fandoms, it's common to add cover art for stories. Some (not all) are posted without the artists' permission, which does rustle a few feathers in the community.

Wattpad is a site (and app) that offers ebooks and Fanfiction written by users that also read the stuff on there. Some people say that the majority is Fanfiction on Watty, but I had the feeling that it is the opposite. The userbase is rather young, female, queer and can't read something without a love plot.

Wattpad does not promote any other book besides their originals even on their own app. Their originals are constantly being thrown in your face and the rare time it’s not it’s these stories with millions of views that are called something like “The alpha king is my mate, and he got me pregnant!” Same old title.
