Gold behind Dam? | TreasureNet.com
There should be gold there from before the dam was built even in the minutest amount. People are great at extracting gold but when it reaches a point of diminishing returns the smart people move to a more productive area.

Polk County: Lost Treasure A wagonload of gold, worth $200,000, was buried in a swampy area south of Balsam Lake. It was buried seven miles northeast of St. Croix Falls by miners returning from Montana. Unfortunately they were unable to retrieve their gold as the treasure sank in quicksand...

No gold in Wisconsin? Heres a list: | TreasureNet.com
No gold in Wisconsin? Here's a list: Gold can be found virtually anywhere in Wisconsin, due to the glaciers dropping off dirt and gold from Canada. Although it is almost always fine gold, there are a few places that good gold came from. Here's a list. 1. PLUM CREEK, PIERCE COUNTY Gold and...

Gold in wisconsin | TreasureNet.com
The gold should be concentrated in the upper six inches or so. There may be other pay layers, but glacial gold is so light that it gets shifted quite easily, and it's usually found near the surface. So, if you dig a hole to China, you'll very likely punch right through the pay, so sample very carefully as you dig down.

Using a mini-excavator on remote claims, legal? - TreasureNet
If I get into gold mining, my plan is to use my mini-backhoe adapting it as needs arise. Most likely I will build a trammel and wash plant and directly load into it so that I do not have to shovel; a self-propelled wash plant if you will. But that is for gravel.

What material for puffer drywashers. Riffle tray and bellows.
I'm not sure gold or other materials sticking to your drywasher is a good idea. The point is to allow sorting by specific gravity and to do that you need the material full of air - not stuck to your drywasher. Static electricity does have one advantage on a drywasher though, your moving parts will wear out much quicker.
